Change of circumstance and a desire to simplify the number of bikes I have means I'm letting my Cotic SolarisMax go.
It's an XL and has exactly 335.2 miles on it according to Strava. I built it up to use as a gravel bike for the shit quality bridleways around me, hence the rigid forks and seatpost. But, with some spenny on there it'll be a proper mountain bike no worries.
The build:
Frame - Cotic SolarisMax XL
Forks - Selcof carbon
Headset - Hope
Drivetrain - Sram GX shifter and rear mech, NX chainset (BB has about 20 miles on it)
Sram Guide RS brakes (just had a lever service, feel and work beautiful)
Wheels - Hunt Trail Wide
Tyres - Racing Ray and Racing Ralph 2.35 (rear has got a plug or two in it, but holds air just fine. Topped the sealant up literally last night.)
Nukeproof stem, generic Norco bars (780 I think), Thompson seatpost, Bontrager saddle, reyt chunky ODI grips
(no pedals or bottle cage with sale)
Will also come with
XD freehub (never used, I got all kinds of turned around when building it up)
The spare spokes that come with the hunt wheels
2 x Vittoria Terrano Dry 2.25 (just picked these up hardly used off ebay for when summer rolled around, but no use to me now)
The good - it's rock solid, only used for a few hundred miles and most of those for gravel. Really adaptable frameset. Generally a very nice bike.
The bad - there are a few marks, mainly cable rub. I never got around to putting frame protection on and have just been using electric tape and stickers to patch up where cable rub has appeared. Nothing dramatic, but also not 'perfect'.
The pic is from when it was first built, will get some shots of the marks and such tonight when back from work.
Asking for what I think is a very reasonable £1000 £850 (+£40 postage, although collection in or around Wakefield welcome).
