I’m giving this thread a bump.
I’m currently cycle touring, I’ve been away for 7 months now. I’m looking to earn some money as I go, so that I don’t have to stop and work to carry on my travels.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I’ve thought about remote customer service jobs. I don’t have any experience of remote work.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I’m currently away cycle touring and enjoying it and would like to be able to work and continue at some point - not this point, I’m heading back to the uk on Friday but in the future. I’ve met 2 other cyclists on this trip who both teach English online and had good things to say about it. One of them was also a professional gambler. Lots of options! In terms of visas - one of them was based in south east Asia and hopped between Thailand/Laos/Vietnam/Cambodia/Indonesia/Malaysia. The other I think had uk/Thai dual nationality so a bit easier

Thank you.
I’ll look into teaching online, that’s a great suggestion. Are you touring in South East Asia? I’m currently in Vietnam.

Yes, just had a month in north Thailand riding the Mae Hong son loop and the Lanna kingdom bikepacking route. It’s nice but stupidly hilly! Can highly recommend Laos if you haven’t been already.

That sounds fantastic.
We’re heading towards Laos, I’ve heard it’s good.
If you have any recommendations I’d love to hear about it. Perhaps drop me a PM to save derailing this thread too much.
I've read the other thread's on moving out of London, figuring out life and breaking free from professional life but this seems to be a more recent trend and perhaps working through COVID will shift how companies view this.
There is an increasing number of countries offering nomad visas, is there now more opportunity for a professional life without being tied to a country, let alone a city?
Is anyone else having the same thoughts or is doing this right now?
It's a daunting idea, having been at the same company for 10 years, am feeling a little pigeon holed and not very specialized but I think we need a little fear to live a little?!
