Daft question perhaps, but can you get insurance quotes before you’ve bought a car?
-

Yes

It was a thing on the forums, as the cars are really liked by the people that have. Seemed really popular with young families are rear really easy to get kids seats out of without causing back pain.
These cars seem ti become part of the family.

More probable is a beyond economic repair if you do a history check on the vehicle.
It is London and cars get scrapes and dents.

Car of the day,
(apologies, no photo, we were both going round a roundabout),
an original 'G'-reg Hillman Husky, the Imp-based version. -

Saw a Stinger GT today, battleship grey. Thought it was a BMW until I got closer.
Never seen one before and doubt I ever will again!

I see a fair of these around as I live quite near some American bases. They can look really cool. Friend was considering one but was massively put off by the lack of boot space

The rear seats slide forward to give more boot space, but true it's not a huge car when compared with what is on our roads now.

What is Vauxhall's offering since the zaffira?
-
• #77262
Or is it still the zaffira?
What about the A and B class mercs? The Renault espace? As I'd love another decent mk1 espace as they are awesome.

Did I see an image of a Saab 900 Turbo with a French touring tandem on the roof in this thread?
I've been trying to find it to save in my life goals image folder.

They're everywhere over here, Old Bill use them as pursuit vehicles. Discontinued last year, I think?

Great. Thank you!

The Cube is a Nissan Note underneath, so mechanical/suspension spare parts should be readily available.

Older generation engines though, so higher annual VED. -

It was an Orbit, very British and as stiff as a wet flannel. We'd have been better off with a pair of bikes, as the stoker discovered that she hated leaving the map, gears, brakes and steering in somebody else's hands. But I can recommend going to Beaujolais during the harvest. Lively atmosphere. Students from all over the world doing the picking and very happy locals. We tried to sample the wine in each of the 12 villages which have their own appelation, but it was a tall order and required much lying down at the roadside. In addition to vintages from previous years, there was the so-called paradis from the current harvest, which was a kind of turbo Ribena, kept in fridges everywhere, and dished out to anyone who fancied it. I'm not sure what it was. But it didn't travel and wasn't sold. Perhaps it was halfway between grape juice and Beaujolais Nouveau. The pickers would drink wine late into the evening and get through the working day by topping up with the paradis.

Beaujolais isn't my favourite wine. The Fleurie region produces the best ones, but to me you're better off going north to Chablis for whites and south for Côtes du Rhône and Chauteuneuf reds

It was terrifying. The roof on the M2 is very flexible too where I mounted it. Next time I'll move it back so the rear is on the boot and hope for slightly less wobble. Probably didn't help that my headset was loose and that was making a few clunks around the roundabouts which installed fear- new stem requires a steered chop to apply preload once more.
Bonus shots from the weekends meet:
