Watched it last night and was thinking the exactly. 3 of their strongest riders forming half the break = sit on time.

I heard Tom Southam make an interesting point that some teams are now happy to ride for 2nd. With the importance of UCI points and the dominance of Visma / Pog / VDP etc it's made 2nd place 'worth' it. UAE were singled out in particular as a team that, when Pog's not there, are happy to ride for 2nd as they want to win the UCI team overall at the end of the year. Certainly explains Pollit's ride
