Walked past Swatch in Cov garden and they had good stock so I joined the club. Think it looks the bollocks and is refreshing to have something so featherweight on my wrist. More than anything I just love it ideologically, it’s about as punk as watches get and that suits me

I've never said we must love each other and be full of bromance and hugs, and the line has always been threats of violence or behaviour like stalking or bullying.

Aye, references to a diseased mother and calling someone else a paedophile don't exactly bring joy and light, no matter what precedent Musk may have tried to set. Unexpectedly unpleasant, I felt.

Not asking for any banning, I basically wanted to know if you think that kind of comment is ok.
To me it's definitely a bit more than a simple get fucked if it involves description of violence and self harm, and it's stuff I don't need to read just because someone gets told that their watch isn't exactly punk.

Oh, I see... I followed the chain back to the first inciting comment, but the escalation was severe.

@Crispin_Glover and @Grumpy_Git , you can both figure out how to apologise to each other and edit posts accordingly, or I'll just ban you both.

Why would I ban you both? Because when it gets to this stage it's all just legal liability for me... and I am not liable for your behaviour, so my only tool to ensure I'm not liable is to ban you fully. So I am serious, I will just ban the both of you.

Seems fair to me - punk/not punk struck me as fair comment, but #76429 (now edited) was a bit much.

@Velocio Crispin’s reply was completely unacceptable behaviour and truly unpleasant to read. The redacted version is just doubling down, which frankly makes it even worse.

The original point about punk was perfectly ok, we all had criticism for pedantic or pompous writing before and need to be able to deal with it in a non-aggressive way.
