The embryo ruling in Alabama is awful, but the way it happened is complete farce.
Apparently a patient wandered into the cryo chamber and tried to pick up a container of frozen embryo's, got burned and dropped the container, killing a number of embryos. Being America, three couples then sued the clinic for wrongful death. This was rejected, but then the Supreme court ruled in their favour, thus shutting down IVF treatments across the state. Talk about a lose/lose situation for all involved.
Except for the god botherers of course. Unless they need IVF
