Hi everyone, I'm looking for a 11s disc rear hub in 145mm. What are the options? I found White Ind. ($$$$$$) and Velocity ($$$). Is there more ?

The Orbit hub shared above would be a good shout. There are also these Synergy hubs to consider. Dirt cheap, but I'd recommend buying two if you're a keen or hardcore rider – loaded tandems eat freehubs and it would be advisable to stock up on spares: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225165663830

Alternatively, you could buy a screw-on to 6-bolt disc adaptor for an old Arai-threaded hub.

These hubs will all nominally be 10-speed only but will work fine, generally speaking, with cassettes 11-34 or larger (possibly 11-32 – I'd have to check SI.Shimano for details).

Is my old mini-wheeled white deathtrap still in service @doubleodavey ? Pretty sure it was you that bought it?

Yes ish - Haven't used it much recently because I got a Thorn one.

2nd gear also skipped out on one of my first voyages post broken ankle, and the pedal massively c*nted my good ankle and it really really really hurt.

Still going though, albeit going dusty in the garage

This looks like a crazy cheap bargain on leboncoin, if anyone wants to hop across the Channel to pick it up (too far away for me).

Our beloved tandem snapped at the driveside dropout on our last tour. I sent it off to Rothair Cycles in Glasgow (top chap) who replaced the drops with a bear of Bear Frame Supplies QR drops, fitted a kickstand, a fourth set of bottle bosses, replaced the old step-down cable stops and repainted it. I finally finished the rebuild yesterday and we couldn't be happier. Here's to more rumbling about on the idiot bus!

Looks fantastic. You posted about the quickest / best way into London on a tandem but I couldn’t reply to it. You might be able to come through Windsor and then Richmond, with the last bit along the river path into Richmond, then through the park and onwards into town. I’ve done Richmond > Esher as a nice afternoon tandem pedal once

Also you can stay at mine near Wootton Bassett if that’s far enough for your first day from Bristol. I am on WarmShowers although I’ve never really got started with it.
