Powertool batteries: I can get 2x2AH or one 4AH battery.
Setting aside the convenience of two batteries, will I get roughly the same out of both. I'm sure I've seen comments online that as smaller batteries drain they provide less power so something high drain like an angle grinder would be quickly into that reduced power state. Or is that bollocks?
My understanding is that it will depend on the current rating and actual battery chemistry. If a 2AH and 4AH have the same current rating then - depending on the chemistry - they'll both give the same performance until depletion. One for longer than the other.
