  • All sounds pretty good so far - hope you can get the issue with their eye sorted out soon as well 👍

How old is she, by the way?

  • Pawsecco?

    India paw ale?

    Chatblis?

  • Kind of made my heart sink when they put it on. Vet said some kind of corneal issue and needs some eye drops 3 times a day.

    Poor fucking sod

  • Haha well, the girl he followed was pissed by her admission. My parents went to collect Jaffa from her house as they were cat-sitting for me and they said he was probably stoned too..

  • Have you filled out Jaffa's Tractive profile?! Here's ours. insert Barry White music 😂

  • Aww grumpy Jaffa! 🤣

  • He is SO grumpy! :D

  • Are there segments? Badges for most gardens shat in?

  • Any tips for giving eye drops unassisted?

Suffice to say whilst my OH is away today and over the weekend, having to go through 5 rounds of it through each day is proving to be quite challenging when she's got a cone on - doesn't like it at all...

  • Burrito the cat in a blanket to avoid movement or just squish them - you can hold them much tighter than you think you can.

  • Now you are talking, cats competing against each other...

  • Done the burrito method so far but she is rather frantic

Anyway, took the cone off for a minute and it's a lot, lot easier with being to gently pull her head back.

  • The cone is presumably only there to stop her scratching her eye so I think it should be fine to take it off for brief monitored periods. But I feel your pain with the eye drops, they can get considerable force behind a quick head jerk when they want to!

  • Would also take the thing off and then give drops.
Poor cat and owner, fell for you both.

  • Cheers both - much appreciated

To be honest, she doesn't really scratch much around her face too, but for the first period going to stick with it. She's having trouble eating so am having to put it on a spoon for her to then chow on - might have to give her a little bit of leeway for that

  • This is the bad part of cat ownership.

  • Neither of ours would tolerate cones when we were told they needed them.

So my approach would be to be to minimise cone time. But then, I have limited trust vets and doctors.

  • this guy!

  • So Berlin has arrived!

    Poor guy...

Trying to leave him be but it's really difficult when we're so excited.

    @Soul Tim can attest
