nice! sounds like a well thought out plan.
planter on top of a water butt sounds neat. i've got to upgrade my bike shed soon, and this gets me thinking about incorporating some water butt cupboard type thing into it.i feel the need to do a sketch.

I'd hope so, given how much I've paid out to my architect! Water butt is just one of these, which should blend in nicely to the collection of pots and plants we'll clutter the decking up with over time:

There's traditional-ish guttering in there, it's just under a cladding shell. I'll have a big water butt with a planter in the top in one of the corners and it should fill up nicely because our down pipe is used by one house to the left and two to the right.
