Totally worth the outlay. I've smashed my Mini's and full size Groundhog's with rocks so many times to get them into very hard ground and they've never bent or chipped and the hold power they have really is sublime. Definitely lighter pegs out there, but these are the perfect combo of weight to holding power to toughness IMO.
You could do Easton pegs if you know you're only ever going to be on soft ground though. Or even carbon pegs.

You could also mix and match. I.e. I use full size Groundhogs at the head and foot end of my tarp as that's where the most holding power is required, and Groundhog Mini's on the four corners as they don't need as much holding power.
Apologies if this has been covered. But any recommendations for pegs that don't fold like a damp straw that aren't daft money?
