  • Haven't been on here for a while and the sad news about @Technics100 was the first thing I read. I'm shocked. I remember he was thinking of showing his watercolours at a local Christmas event. Seems he never got the chance to. :-( What a sad news... Condolences to his beloved ones.

  • New painting done at the week. About 70*50ish cm

  • Love the colour combination. Great job.

  • That's so good! Do you sell your stuff anywhere?

  • I’m on Instagram under bear creativ. Not sold anything yet

  • Which bear creativ exactly? Found several but none with works that look like yours...

  • Nice picture. I forgot you were a potter too. Excellent stuff

  • I’ve got so much stuff to glaze but just can’t find one that I like

  • Lovely stuff. followed

  • Art adjacent, making more frames. Am getting better with my angles and splines.

  • Looks like good work.

  • Ta, but I need to stop. I've got a harmonograph I'm supposed to be making.

  • Now that's interesting.

  • How do you make a frame? What’s a spline when it’s at home?

  • At its most basic it's 4 bits of equal length (for a square frame, or 2x2 equal length for rectangular) with 45° cuts on the ends. The spline is the small bit of wood at the corner which adds strength (and decoration).

You probably need a channel cut at the back to seat some backing board, mount and glass.

I use a mitre saw, mitre cutter and router table.

  • I’ve had this project that I’ve been tinkering with for ages - I’ve actually found myself fairly close to finishing it! My wife’s away for work this week so I’ve decided to spend post kids bedtime evenings getting stuck in to the remaining illustrations I need to have this finished. Then I’ll send it to the printers before I decide I want to faff around with anything or re-do any drawings!

Basically I’ve re-themed the card game ‘Machi Koru’ from the ground up. The original game is a sort of sim city style, manage resources to build a city. My version has you stranded on a strange island with mysterious monoliths and stuff.

  • ^Wow that's amazing. You planning to make some and sell them?

  • I’m going to get one set made up for myself - I found somewhere that will print me a set (108 cards) for about £30 which seems decent. If anyone’s keen, I’d be up for getting further sets printed up, but I’d want to see a printed set first.

  • Incredible work!

  • I have no idea what these are! But it’s very very cool that you taken it upon yourself to do this.

It must have been a mammoth task.

  • Oh really like this. Reminds me of autumn views over lakes. Love it
