Just in case you still have the faulty one, on the inside of the cage there should be a little white sticker with a code. FDxx-RExxx
The two digits that come after FD indicate the modelyear. This way you're certain you're hunting for the right one. At a certain moment they stopped making dedicated clamp and braze on versions. If you're lucky, you might also get away with a clamp on version and simply remove the clamp, making it a braze on.
Best to check the spare parts catalogue of that year to see if this applies to yours once you've determined the model year.
Good luck!

I'm actually trying to piece together a complete groupset rather than replace a broken FD.
Currently I have Record 11spd Shifters, Rear mech, Brake Calipers and a Super Record 11spd Crankset all with the red and white logos so 2011-2015. The rear mech doesn't have a sticker on anymore but the Cranks have FC13 so does that make them from 2013?
Hopefully that should all work nicely together once built up I just need the FD to complete the set. There doesn't seem to be many popping up on eBay and the ones that do are either crazy expensive or knackered.
How would I know if a clamp on FD can be converted to braze on? -

Correct on the cranks - it's usefull information in case you're looking to replace the chainrings for instance. In case of the crankset, you'll need to open the 2013 spare part catalogue and you'll find the correct spare codes.
Shifting wise - anything from 2015 onward will not work nicely with pre 2015 item, despite both being 11-speed.
Make sure the cassette is within the range of the rear mech, it's likely to be 12-29 max.
You can recognize a possible conversion by the clamp and the front mech being made up out of either a single item or two separate items. The part where you'd normally attach a braze-on front mech to the frame, would simply attach to the clamp.
In the image below you can see a front mech that's being used with a clamp, but can also be used as a braze-on. You can recognize easily by the bolt on the front of the mech keeping the mech and clamp in place.

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look through the old spare part catalogues
On the hunt for a Campagnolo Record 11spd front derailleur, specifically the carbon one with the white and red logo so pre 2015 I think.
Anyone got one they want to move on?
