I love how right I was on the bar tape. I was under the impression that each bar was supposed to be opposite though? So pink drops on one, cyan on the other, hence the opposite coloured plugs.
Irrespective of this, I am well jeal.

They are 'meant' to be but I am too OCD to have asymmetric bar tape!
You were right on the colours, unfortunately when I got home last night (after a humid ride home, maybe related?) I found two small patches on the tops where the outer layer of colour has come off the tape. It's only been on two months :(
This is bad because I bought some red and black Supacaz tape for my road bike because it was so comfy :/
@Zerostar - yes, they really should get some better photos. They undersell them.
@Ed - or I could get some Das Rad Klub hell kit :)
But actually I have been rocking

(Socks are MUCH pinker in real life).

Hinault lives and has come to me via Mustardbeak!
Going to build up as a fixed mudguard commuter.

Excellent! He makes a good fixed mudguard commuter.
I'm glad the save the rim brake sticker is still there, but needs bringing up to date with DBAD too.

So the wheels are built and I've got all of the bits for the build except some 3T ergo style bars and a 3T carbon seat post.
Seems to be a 3T UK shortage and, with Brexit, no one in Europe seems to want to sell them into the UK anymore.
Wheels are 32H Novatec high flange flip flop hubs with DT Swiss R460 rims, Conti GP5000 clincher 23s & a DA 16T sprocket. Spokes are Sapim race and cut and threaded by the fine people at the Lewisham Cyclery.
Sorry @aroogah, life got in the way and haven't managed to get back to you about the sticker yet. I'm truly useless.Anyway, hopefully fully up and built in the next month or so.

Pearson is looking good. Who made that sideboard? It's lovely.
-
• #88
Cheers! It's the Conran Aiken sideboard from M&S. Retailed at £799 when it came out but by the time I'd manage to save enough for it, they'd stopped making it.
I set up an ebay alert and managed to pick one up several years later,in mint condition, for £65.00.:) -

Hinault has been dropped off at the Cyclery to be built up. Excitement levels through the roof.

After a few issues with the callipers that I'd purchased, we're on the road!

After 3 years in my hands (and seemingly 10 years on the roads) , I'm still commuting on this daily and apart from skidding though a few rear tyres, it's been faultless. Such a rad bike.
Not great on the neck though with the large ammount of drop but thats a small price to pay :)

Nice! Is the one I see in the Greenwich foot tunnel from time to time?
-
• #93
Strictly walking it through of course! 😁

Of course! I'll say hi next time I spot you. (although I think I said that when you mentioned my All City in the spotted thread and haven't crossed paths since).
Guess what you need?
You can buy the arm warmers separately.
