Yeah I found Velfac to be not that much more expensive than a lot of mid-range alu windows, maybe ~20% difference after discounts. I pretended to be an architect to get almost £2K off the total quote, and ordered via our builder so it was VAT-free.
The triple-glazing, clear-lacquered timber frame and flippy reversible opening mechanism (so all windows can be cleaned from indoors) are all well worth the extra imo, as well as the large choice of internal and external RAL colours at no extra cost.
