  • Best to remember that 50% of under 35s don't give a fuck about any politics

  • Bored of experts

  • The people who would have voted for conservatives but for economic factors are unlikely to give that much of a fuck about transphobia. People who so deeply care about transphobia that it is a leading factor in their voting choice would be unlikely to ever vote Tory anyway. Probably

  • Reform splitting the Tory vote, Rees Mogg hanging round one of the counts looking nervous and the Lib Dems banished to the Phantom Zone like General Zod.
    Feels good man.

  • Rees m€#g on the local news this morning in full on bullshit mode saying losses weren't too bad and labour should have done better and it was an indicator that labour aren't going to do as well as they thought etc.

  • Rees-Mogg just thinks they need to move further right and everything will be ok.

These suggest he may be tilting at windmills….

  • He really is the odious windbag du jour, and in a strong field of contenders
Must help bang nails into the party lid every time he slithers into sight and opines on what he (genuinely appears to believe) littler people should be thinking
    Here’s hoping, anyway

  • In the last 20 months, the Tories have had 6 of their 12 worst defeats since 1945 but apparently "the plan" is working and the two by-elections yesterday were a disaster for Labour (makes sense, only the one podium spot for 2nd worst defeat since 1945, the other an also ran 9th worst)

    Tory MPs still spineless:

  • Asked about how the government plans to back up Kemi Badenoch's claim
that sacked Post Office chair Henry Staunton's Sunday Times interview
was "full of lies", Gillian Keegan tells R4: "I’m sure they will make
    a statement or release something."

Bad Enoch may have detonated her chances of PM, her tweet yesterday was not ministerial:

The Henry Staunton Sunday Times interview is a disgraceful
misrepresentation of my conversation with him and the reasons for his
    dismissal.

This was all explained to the journalist who chose to ignore the facts
    and run with Staunton’s words.

  • Mr Staunton says he sent an email note on the conversation with a civil servant about slowing payments.

  • That's his problem.
    Emails are logged on servers
Didn't he get the memo:'Government by WhatsApp' with regular deleting of aged messages.

  • Bad Enoch may have detonated her chances of PM, her tweet yesterday was not ministerial

Do the Tories suddenly care about being ministerial? She’ll be fine.

  • Bad Enoch may have detonated her chances of PM, her tweet yesterday was not ministerial:

Compared to some of the shit we've seen recently that was practically PM material.

  • Those pesky truants, hanging around street corners depressing GDP when they should be patriotically shorting the pound

  • “What’s your fucking problem, you fucking fucks?” was the subtext of
almost every subsequent exchange that Kemi had. She even managed to
pick a fight with Kevan Jones, one of the few MPs to have emerged with
credit from the Horizon scandal. A man who had done more to try to win
cross-party support for the post office operatives than almost anyone
    else in Westminster.

But in Kemi world, you’re either with her or against her. And daring
to suggest that he would like to see some hard evidence before
offering her his support crossed a line. It was all very well slagging
off Staunton in the Commons where she was protected by parliamentary
privilege. Let’s see her do it elsewhere. Preferably not on Twitter,
where Kemi has also been known to have extended rants

  • The Times goes for it too on Badenoch.

    **

Bare-knuckle Kemi Badenoch lands punch at Post Office critic The
business secretary fought back after Henry Staunton claimed the
government had told it to delay compensation to victims of the Horizon
    scandal

In his bestselling novel Shantaram the reformed heroin addict and
convicted armed robber Gregory David Roberts explains that the first
rule of street fighting is to “always get crazier than the other guy”.
By way of demonstration, he begins a seemingly unwinnable fight with
three prison guards by punching himself in the face, smearing his
forehead with his own blood and shouting: “You’ll get me, but one of
you will lose an eye. I’ll rip someone’s eye out with my fingers and
eat it! So come on, let’s go!” Unsurprisingly, the prison guards have
a change of heart. In politics this approach may now be known as the
Badenoch Method. To turn defence into attack with exhilarating force,
in a way that leaves absolutely no one safe.

  • I can't work out if the Times are comparing her to a psychotic street-fighter in a disparaging way or an admiring way
