What time is it? Watches and horology

Nice. I keep thinking about getting the gilt dial one and then I remember how similar to my steinhart it would be.

The strap really work well, made it look more vintage.

I like the look of these. Read some reviews and they seem like quite robust and good looking watches.

Always loved these. The green and red dial versions especially.

Looking for something that doesn't stand out from the wrist as much as my DS2. It gets snagged on things more than I would like.

Love em. I've googled them enough now that I keep getting adverts for vintage ones on instagram.

It sounds silly but the only thing that puts me off is that it's 5 bar. In the summer most weekends swim/jump in with my watch on and wouldn't want to leave it with my clothes in case it gets stolen

Leather strap also not an issue? (guess could change to a sailcloth easy enough that'll look similar )

I'll admit I took my Longines down on an actual dive but generally if I'm on holiday and going to the beach or swimming I'll wear a cheap casio.

New Seiko Friday. Switched out the stock strap and I'm liking it a lot more.
Very Pogue-y but much better for every day.

Very cool. Been liking all the vintage reissues Seiko are putting out recently that are in that vein / that era of 5 Sports.

Speaking of vintage reissues, I’ve been wearing the quartz SUS reissue this week (in a Scoble-friendly 35mm). Happy Friday all.

It is if thats what you are after in a watch, I did this with the BB58 kept telling myself this is the one, it ticks all the boxes and then it went and now the SeaQ is here!

Sometimes head and heart never agree and when they do it can be short lived if one is stronger than the other!

Pretty solid, the 37mm might be my choice and is cheaper still, but I can see a lot of people preferring 40mm and/or titanium.

The date window is a nice addition. Admittedly I did like their zulu collab with hodinkee, had the 37mm been titanium I’d be in real trouble …

I have an Oris and really love it, beautiful finish and quality
