Here's a bike hanger I made a few years ago. It's currently only suitable for a bike with a 1" top tube but could be made to fit other bikes with some sawing.
Varnished birch ply with felt in the holder bit. Dims 30w x 25h x 30d. From memory it was designed to have the bike hug the wall quite close.
It's free but you could make a forum donation.
Currently it can be picked up mile end or bethnal green or I could meet you lea bridge road after work next week. I could help you fit for a bag of coffee.
