Maybe but I can't see them for sale and why remove the carbon seatpost and saddle? I'm happy with what I bough (when I get it) but I can see why he is unhappy.

I wonder if they felt they’d get more money splitting those parts and selling separately? Obviously I don’t know, but if he doesn’t get a letter saying how much they went for I agree is a bit shit.
