It was a stellar night. The next one is Leather Boys, which looks geat: Early 60s drama about London biker lads hanging about at Ace café and wondering if they might be gay (illegal at that time).

Yup, know Leather Boys well, it was essential viewing BITD when Digger and I were young rockers ourselves.

Wow, well done, Mica Levi is a master as far as I'm concerned. I could quite happily listen to the Under The Skin soundtrack whilst working, don't think I'll be doing the same with this one.

Couldn’t agree more. And I feel Digger is just made for curating a film season, his intro to The Loveless was perfect. I gather it won’t be just biker stuff programmed.

I’d hoped it was just an ad or two at the start, but I tried it out with Blade Runner and, in addition to a 20 second ad for Aero at the start, it inserted a 30 seconds ad for Comic Relief at around the 20min mark.

What is the best cinema in London or SE to watch films?
I'm not bothered by snacks/booze/history etc, just after a combo of great (big) picture and great sound.
I suppose it would be nice if it was just film buffs in there too, but it's not a serious consideration .

Just seen Zone of Interest, powerful stuff. The sort of film, I like, although "like" dosen't feel like the right word here. It is a strange feeling, enjoying the cinematic experience whilest recoiling appalled by the (unseen) horrors.

Dose anyone think it references The Tin Drum film? Or am I just overthinking it?

In London Odeon Luxe West End is probably best for sound - Picturehouse Central is pretty good too

All of us Strangers was very strong. Many feels and quite surreal, took me a while to get out of that. Be warned, not cheerful, though some subtle humour.

I was a bit disappointed in it, felt like another Past Lifes where everyone loves it and it just thought it was a bit meh.

Poor Things last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
