TRP recommend using thicker 2.3mm rotors for tandems, I would like to try using Spyres/Spykes with some 2.3mm 180mm rotors and flat bars to see how the braking is. I have found the newer Spyre SLCs better than the older standard versions.
I'm sure you will be very happy with shimano hydraulics though.
Hope so! I watched a few GCN videos last night about how to go about shortening hoses and attaching olives etc. Should be nice to learn something new. If/when you’re after some new Spyke calipers only, let me know.
