What's the deal with that Lotus? Why does it have hope wheels? Photoshop?

USE bars weren't around when the frame was made either. This may come as a shock to you, but sometimes people upgrade or replace the components on their old bikes.

It doesn't look like a bike that actually gets used, and it seems like a weird combi with those cranks.
But yes I'm shocked

It can be fun to freshen up an old bike with new kit, even if it proves in this case that the original couldn't be bettered

It’s refreshing to see a Lotus owner step away from the Mavic formula, particularly with a creatively updated nod to the original build. A Lotus-Hope reference to today’s Hope-Lotus without completely abandoning the ‘90’s kit.

It’s an A. Danger build so it’s been “upgraded” for the ride to the local speciality coffee shop.
