Note Sram have two direct mount standards, 3 bolt and 8 bolt.

The 8 bolt is just plain silly, 3 bolts are fine.
@MrBaklava as @jackbepablo there are plenty of other non SRAM options out there too, fancy colours too!

Wouldn't trust. Website has text copied from another new website that seems based in the US and there's a reference to a new York office despite having a UK address.
https://electonation.com/
The UK address is just some house, likewise on the electonation site the address doesn't seem to have a physical shop. Also I can't find a related business on companies house nor any reference to one on the website

Yes! That's what I was seeing but thought "am I being thick here?".

Sometime ago, 3 years maybe, I watched a telly programme featuring a ginger beardy bloke on a bamboo bike. I think he was doing triathlons around the UK coastline. It's all a bit hazy now but there was definitely swimming involved. Does anyone have any idea who he was etc.? I mostly remember he had a particularly fine pair of brown leather bike shoes. What I really want to know is what make the shoes were, if anyone knows but i can always watch the series to find out. Thank you.

They look very much like Dromarti shoes to me (as an owner of a pair).

William Lennon?

They are very well made and very comfortable, but I'm not sure I'd pay £240 for them. I've had mine for well over ten years though, can't remember what I paid for them, but it was a lot less than that.

Essentially yes
We supply big/fancy/expensive ones for marketing peeps (they do basic content stuff with them) and the CEO (because CEO), everyone else gets the basic model.

This must be the ugliest chainring that ever existed (no offense)

I think those Paul Royal Flush cranks must beat it, surely!

William Lennon ones are great for the money but do allow space to put a thin leather insole in them. It makes the difference between a shoe that shreds up inside within a couple of rides and a shoe that lasts for ages. These ones work well:

Thank you and @withered_preacher for the Lennon suggestion. Imagine that ; )

Ekoi has invented a new pedal, the PW8, so called because "According to biometric tests, it will increase the cyclist's power by 8 watts....The new pedals will provide the cyclist with 8 watts because they are positioned at 8mm from the pedal axis." They haven't explained further. Does anyone understand this claim? https://road.cc/content/tech-news/ekois-eu2-million-pedal-project-predicts-8-watt-savings-306475

I have a set of really old Sram Rival 1x cranks on my bike,. and I've just realised the direct mount chainring has had it.
What are my best options for replacing this? chainring only looks like it'll be £50 from Sram.
Are all direct mount sram chainring fitments the same size? I've only ever swapped chainrings on a standard crank with X BCD.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Is this what I need?
