The winding pin had stripped the cog.
£100 later I got a.nother.

@chrismanc thanks, my wife has excellent taste@Regal if it is a mainspring I'll have to blame myself for quickly winding it and maybe rushing it....

Weird birthday today. Put on my Speedmaster that I got for 40th ( 5 years ago already, eek!) Wound it up and now it has stopped, chrono no function, no ticking .. dead. I'm guessing mainspring? It winds with very little resistance.
Will have to take it to Nicholas Hacko ASAP.
But, maybe the omega sensed something and got pissed off... My lovely wife surprised me with this beautiful little Seiko KS.
