From Strava two days ago I don't ride a Milan.

Reminds me of someone I used to know, who put a Lambretta engine in an aircraft fuel tank drop-pod.

this was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen.

Nice.

I never knew that when you see a double rainbow, the colours of the second one are in reverse order to those of the first. Presumably, with a triple rainbow, the colours are flipped again.

Cool isn't it?

Also notice the dark band between the two rainbows, with it brighter inside the inner bow.

I love the optics of rainbows.

I haven't noticed it until you pointed it out!

One of the physicists amongst us will be along shortly to explain why this happens......
ETA - do you think that it is anything to do with you having stood in the shadow of the monolith from 2001 A Space Odessy when you took the photo?
