MOT tomorrow. When the mechanic took it for a test drive he mentioned;

ouch. Mine needed a new roof, which was approx the value of the car. Happy to go ahead with that, but then the fuel gauge stopped working and the idle control valve clogged up so it kept cutting it on roundabouts. I wanted to remove it and flush it with carb cleaner, but its blocked by the thermostat, which had rounded off bolts. That's when I threw in the towel.

I had a one of those for a while, the tree with a roof down thing was the main fun around Christmas.
Also, slinging an mtb on the back seat with the front wheel on the boot lid like a sort of piss-take pickup truck vibe.
Eventually, cumulative repairs made it untenable ;(
