Ah we always make sure they can see the red dot climb the wall to the ceiling or something so they can see it's gone and out of reach at the end. Then some dreamies and they've completely forgotten all about it

I try to give them the satisfaction of catching a toy from time to time.

Our's favourite is a bunch of feathers on the end of a string attached to a rod. It's like fishing for cats. They go nuts for it and we let them catch that one
