My girlfriend keeps buying shit from there. Recent deals include sportswear most likely originally purchased from JD sports and then re-sold at twice the price as retro vintage and a shirt that looks like a spare prop from the infamous shell suit episode of Casualty.
Dont give your fuck-ups to charity, make a profit by selling it on as something cool and good for the planet.

The only issue is that occasionally I have too much of instagram so delete that app, leaving me with vinted as my go to doomscrolling app, which is dangerous.

I'm assuming this was before the introduction of the Tesla.

Clowns.
The painted variety.
Does anybody find them funny?
Overwhelmingly the opposite, I reckon: sinister, creepy and, expressing a manevolant evil aura.
Popular culture isn't responsible. We're not talking Jaws here. IT, et al, is vox pop, I reckon. -

Made me think of when people used to be into circus school. Come there must be some gen xers on here who did it?
-
• #24485
No, but remember at 6th form the outside areas were full of people doing diablo, riding unicycles and juggling (including with knives/machetes).
On a similar note, my brother's step daughter actually teaches circus skills and contortionism as a career.

I used to love diabolo.
I think I should buy one.

Tweedy the clown from giffords circus stands out as the exception that proves the rule , the only funny clown..he plays on the fact that a significant percentage of the audience suspect they may have bought drugs from him in the 90s

Devil Sticks for me.
Seeing Boyle do them in Brooklyn 99 makes me feel seen.

I found my old diablo a few months ago, not as fun as I remembered

I had a friend who went to circus school.
She's now a professional performer who does loads of cool cirque de soleil type stuff. Lives by the beach in Spain.
I bet she's well jealous of my history degree and desk job. I bet she's not got as good a pension fund as me though, so I reckon I will get the last laugh when I'm able to retire at the ripe old age of 75.

Now, the disappearing sock thing has always been around, so you can only ever find one of a pair, but since my 4 yr old started school in September its increased exponentially.
Bought a pack of 7 black socks, within 2 weeks, we were down to 3 pairs. Bought another 7 pack and now we a left now with 4 pairs out of 14. They definitely come home each day, but somehow get lost in laundry.

Bought a pack of 7 black socks…
I think I’ve spotted your problem.

Static electricity, they're probably all clinging inside other bits of clothing.

Socks are nocturnal.
They spend the majority of their lives avoiding daylight in drawers, washing machines and shoes.
You need to hunt them down at night.
Vinted is great as a platform, but their customer services is shit. A month after raising an issue, they're no closer to resolving it and occasionally send me messages in French, which is nice.
