I would say that the one thing to bear in mind is that they're animals and therefore don't necessarily need special furniture or beds. Chances are the bits you spend the most on and are the most excited for them to use, they'll sniff once and never touch it again.
If you can arrange for them to have a quiet, surrounded safe spot like under a bed in the spare room or something, they will like that initially as somewhere to go and feel safe.
Sup all.
So we've taken the big step to adopt a cat (few weeks away). As a new cat parents, can I please ask what the hive mind says should we get to make a happy cat home? I'll probably have loads of questions as the weeks go by.
So... Littler box? Thinking Teflon stainless steel litter box with clumping litter? Which kind is recommended?
We'll be getting tree, wall hammocks and things for the living room for when we're in the living space. And same for around my office space.
Last time I had a cat/s was in SA as a young child where they were outside cats and very independent. I'm not sure of an indoor cat or one that may like human contact.
I'll start reading through the thread (don't stress) so 530pgs here we come!
BTW, some great pics of kits.
