Just seen this on the news. Very sad ,50ffs. A lot of people will be thankful of the help he gave them finding a new home, either in the country or in the sun.

Yeah, around the same age and he was one of the guys who you think would be a good mate. Funniest clip on escape to the country when he was doing punt racing and fell headfirst into the water.

RIP Tim Hilton. And thanks for the obituary @andyp. Will reread the book. Spent a fair amount of my time in England in Hampstead and Suffolk and passed through Birmingham after abandoning and a second time after volunteering on the Brian Chapman.
