What?

Kelleher driving maul try… it was my first pick!
Think I still have motm to come for McCarthy too because that’s not on his total yet. So another 15 pts… ;)
I’ll completely blow it later in the comp again.

Ditto. Highest score on any league I’m on, chapeau

James Lowe was a continuous highlight reel, pretty much every kick from their own 22 plus driving the final maul to score.

Joe McCarthy doesn't look that big but damn he hits and carries harddd.

England. Lol.

England Can't help themselves... They were on the line, they almost had a try... But no... England must kick.
One trick pony.

That's better!

Just enough from England, but well done Italy.

Not a particularly enjoyable / interesting game to watch … well done to Italia for being rather more attack minded … but feel England carry too much weight / expectation - and then just play crap as per … oh , and this new young look team … George , Marler , and Cole as front three ?
As an aside - is having a daft shaved / sem-i Mohican / mullet hair cut the modern fashion in rugby .. ? Some right funny looking barnets last night and this afto … ! -

Because players don't have to rock up for their accountancy job on Monday mornings anymore, they can express their individuality by getting the same wacky haircut.

Between Wales and Italy for the wooden spoon again then.

I don’t know, as a lifelong welsh supporter I’m not sure there’s much to debate based on this game at the moment. Think Italy would be favourites vs Wales, even though it’s in Cardiff.

… worse than Shoreditch !

Back to the early 90's :(

Meanwhile in Cardiff…

We didn't deserve to win. Scotland were the better side especially with 15 men.
-
• #5222
Well done Scotland!

• #5223
That was a cracking match. The Scotland one.

Start of the 2nd half, I said to my wife, Wales will be lucky to get 10 points on the board.
Bit gutted the first conversation was missed as, ultimately, that cost us the win.Wales were shocking in the first half, Scotland a bit keen to pick up penalties in the 2nd.
Thought there was an awful lot of high tackles/ seatbelt tackles that went uncommented on, have the rules changed about wrapping around someone's neck? -

Missed the Wales vs Scotland game because I was at Bedford vs Pirates (good game). Sounds like it’s worth watching!
Got to take mini c00ps to her match in Cambridge first though...
I might be all rugby-ed out by then though. Sheesh.
Not really sure why Ireland have been written off in all the expert predictions. They talk about last year's Fr/Ire game as a classic - everyone talked France up all the way, they played some gorgeous rugby, got comfortably beat 4 tries to 1. This year, France talked up all the way, they did very little (at home), and got even more comfortably beat 5 tries to 2.
This is the first time in my life I've thought an Ireland GS was the most likely outcome before the tournament started. Still a long way from it, but can't really see why it's not realistic.
