He’s reportedly an asylum seeker who was done for sexual assault/indecent exposure in 2018 before being granted asylum in 2021/22. That’s not helpful to the immigration debate, refugee debate, or capital punishment debate.

Read in one the rags that it was claimed to have changed faith to Christianity for his last and successful claim. Feels like a spurious claim such as the having a cat means you can claim asylum.
How does someone walk around with that kind of injury? Especially after that amount of time passing? I'm not favouring or defending the perp, just interested. Also would someone seeing someone with that kind of injury remember seeing a person or offer to help? Which in this case may not be a great idea.

Because the last two pages of this thread have been such a shining example of rational thought on the subject. A horrible assualt happened, but it has nothing to do with immigration. "Native born" citizens of this country commit horrible crimes fairly regularly, but it doesn't become a discussion of who should be in the country or who should die of infection or drown.
