There are even 5 speed kits and double front setups in the mod scene.
Internal geared is heavy but little to no maintenence, external gears are way lighter and gives you the freedom to play around the ratio as you choose.
I have a 1ME which I'm converting into a 2ML, not that the single speed isn't fun, but the 2 speed is a bit more practical.

Already got a nice B17 from when the bike was new, but I could swap that out for something lighter (couple of flites in the spares box). Have MKS removable pedals as I broke a couple of the folding ones.
