I think pewter might be a bit like lead when you heat it, ie it turns suddenly to liquid. It also has a pretty low melting point around 200°C. So I wouldn’t heat it up. Depending how thick it is, you might just be able to push it round a bit of pipe with your fingers to form it, because it’s pretty soft. Got a pic?
Old-fashioned jewellers is what you need.
