I've never tested back to back with a normal post but I think that on the road it makes a slight difference with vibration but it doesn't do anything for actual bumps. I think because it only flexes forward and backward and for absorbing anything noticeable, you'd want up and down right.

Haha I don't want any thunder, it's ok. But yeah, I started with drops horizontal and then put the shifters as high as they'd go. I had to pull up on them with one hand whilst tightening the clamp with the other. I'd have to BU to get HU and then the drops would feel silly

sounds about right. a mate has just bought a telescopic style one for his gravgrav bike for when we do the dirty reiver. i think i'll probably just get out of the saddle for a bit and save myself £100

You and me both. I think I'm only a 700mm di2 wire away from being able to build it but it's not a priority as I'm not taking it out until there's bone dry roads.

why not buy bikes that fit you rather than slamming saddle all the way forward with inline?
-
• #29669
If you can slam the stem without any back pain then the bike fits you
-
• #29670
I do need to move it back actually. Also I don't believe in bike fit.
-
• #29671
Saddle forward=Power.
-
• #29672
Also I don't believe in bike fit.
Oh to be young again.
-
• #29673
I do believe in bike fit, but I'm not so sure if I believe andyp was ever young

It really is one of the gravel bikes of all time
I’ll wait for @Hulsroy ‘s verdict. I’m merely a disciple, so obviously could be wrong.
