I used to help out with the local school street by my daughter's primary school. There were clear signs up to tell the cars that the road was closed for ~30 mins in the morning and the same in the afternoon. Yet cars would still try and push through me and my big red/white barrier.
For a good few weeks, every morning, there were near constant deliveries to a house on the road that was being renovated. Similar lorries to the above delivering 40+ sheets of drywall or 2 pallets of bricks, etc.
I took great glee in letting them through the barriers into the road so they could park up and block the road for a full 20 minutes at a time. Some motons would still try to push past my barrier only to then find a large lorry parked up with a driver that far less polite than I would normally be.
