1.5 tapered Forks - Canti or Disc

Hi all

Looking for a pair of 1 1/8 to 1 1/2 (1.5”) tapered forks, ideally cantilever but would also consider disc.

Needs a fair chunk of steerer, probably c220/230+.

Edit: needs to clear a CX (33mm) tyre.

Wouldn't a synapase would be 1 1/4 at the bottom ? Interested pending price

Yes. Giant, cannondale, bmc are or were the prominent users of 1 1/4 tapered steerers.
I think giant have moved on since they increased the steerer to 1 1/4

one might be able to use a reducer to put 1 1/4 into a 1 1/2 headtube, i'll let @Engineering101 consider it first, those forks are light solid and cheap

Knew I forgot something… Does it clear a 33mm CX tyre? Also, is the crown race removable or moulded (those reducers I think only work with flat base). Could work subject to that.

@Glws I actually have a new in bag set of these https://sportandleisure.com/products/gt-grade-700c-gravel-bike-fork-raw-unpainted-finish-1-1-4-1-1-8-steerer if you want them at a few ££ off retail (/still hoping for that brake, if you have it!) They won’t work for me as the race is moulded on.

I think the synapse crown race is removable, judging from the pics, but i am not sure it clears 33mm as it comes from an older "sagan era" road synapse. if they do it would be tight and not suited to mud, imo.
