  • C63 all day everyday

  • No rear window seems a little... experimental

  • Polestar are making some fantastic looking cars and then jacking them up to appease the market's appetite for SUVs. Had a poke round a 3 the other day and thought it was a set of springs away from making a lovely estate.

If they sold a lowering kit as an efficiency package then maybe people would consider it.

  • I like the look of it - clearly smaller than most SUVs and seems well featured. Seems expensive to me but my idea of new car prices might be out of date (and it's obviously supposed to be a luxury item).

How is build quality / finish etc (given this is what Tesla seems to get slammed for most)?

  • Some fucker decided that zooming past on my side of the road was a good idea and clipped my wing mirror. Fortunately electrics and mirror are OK but the plastic cover is a goner. Any suggestions where I could pick up one of these cheaply (preferably one that I then don't have to source paint for and paint)? Cheers

    It's a 2017 Yaris

  • Yaris owners club on Facebook, there will be a breaker or eBay.

Actually you could call redcorn the breakers up by the old IKEA by the north circ.

  • This is a really dull thing to say that probably wouldn't sell more cars, but given how shit roads are I wish manufacturers would focus on how to increase road comfort without making passengers sea sick.

That would be such a better allocation of resources, instead of moar speed.

  • Why hasn’t it got a rear window?

  • Power consumption is a bit meh (claimed 3m/kWr) when my 13 yr Leaf can do better.

The lightest version has a claimed weight of 2.2 tonnes where my Leaf weighs 1.6 tonnes and a BMW i3 weighs 1.2 tonnes. No progress there. A Model Y weighs 1.9 tonnes.

Another lazy marketing led EV. A triumph of branding rather than engineering.

  • It enhances something or other.

    More tech = better.

  • So you can't see the lower classes as you reverse over them

  • The rearview mirror approach enabled a more spacious interior and better rear visibility, typically this class of vehicle has a very small rear window with poor visibility...

  • As we are notionally a cycling forum;
Can you get a bike in the back with the rear seats folded flat(tish)?

  • That air flow video is actually spirits leaving the body like toons in Roger Rabbit.

  • I'm losing my reason with the Kona EV this week...

Live in apartment, no home charger... charger across the road at supermarket which is fine but for the last months their AC chargers have been giving trouble and the DC ones have a recurring €8/hr access charge to stop people overusing them...
Tried to get a charge nearby to in-laws today... 7 of 8 chargers in use, half of them PHEVs and the one available one had been blocked by some cunt in a 2.0tdi A4 who decided he'd park there for the day while at work...

It used to be bearable but I don't think EV without home charger can work anymore due to increased popularity...

  • Buy a new mirror cover from eBay for about £15 and a rattle can of satin black and do both mirrors. The time and effort you'll potentially put in finding a metallic grey one is not worth it.

  • Has anyone got experience with Porsche Cayenne 955 3.2 V6?

  • Ahhh. Fukin around on PCarz modz...

    What a joy to thrash.

  • Yeah I think I'm going down this road, ideally something well used with all the common faults covered. Prices are all over the place but I don't want a pristine example as it will get a few dings down the lanes and I've just the other week replaced a tail light on the Audi due to a tree, I wasn't driving...

  • No experience but I was looking at the Turbo due to reading the V6 feels like driving a boat, which makes sense.

  • Anyone want a hynes manual for a mk1escort 1100 and 1300 and a Saab 90, 99 and 900. Finally an autobook for a mk2 escort 1.1, 1.3 and 1.6

  • Spotted in Bath this morning :
    2017 MOT failure sounds expensive
“ Vehicle structure is cracked, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings L/H Near engine and upper arm mounting ”
