  • True, something with not too aggressive knobs for a bike packing trip with mainly gravel roads. Preferably as wide as possible (but no fat bike tyres...)

  • I've not bought 26" tyres for ages so I don't really know what's available. I've used Racing Ralphs for actual racing in the past and the huge Crazy Bob tractor tyres for commuting on so my use cases aren't that good for what you want.

I quite like the Schwalbe stuff so what about something like

    https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Schwalbe-Smart-Sam-Performance-ADDIX-Folding-26-MTB-Tyre_227259.htm

It has a nice constant central pattern for speed on the flat and reflective sidewalls for when you're back on the roads in towns. 2.25" is pretty wide for gravel although I'd go bigger if it was proper MTB terrain.
