We've got the standard teak g plan set with that sofa in grey.

We have a gplan Astro nest of tables and a copy set of Astro tables if you’re interested. Would need to be collected in Brighton though.

Wheres your sofa from?

Dfs
It's called Zinc.
Ours has stood up well over 5yrs and 2 under 5yo. Including washing the cover by hand once.
Fwiw irl the leather on the leather versions looks decent. Don't know if that has changed though.

On sofas , does anyone have a Hay Quilton? If so , how's it held up since you've owned it ? Online reviews are a bit mixed
-
• #1483
A contract furniture supplier I used to work with didn’t rate Hay sofas for longevity. I can’t 100% remember but I think he recommended Muuto.

thanks, that definitely tallies with some of the reviews I've seen on the Quilton. Shame as it'd fit the lounge well .
Id be keen to hear from anyone who has a Quilton/ Mags etc too

Mags firm (?) owner here. Had it since 2020 and it’s held up great. We went for this over the soft because we felt it would hold its shape better. Friends also have the Hackney sofa and that’s a solid thing too.

You can see a slight sign of wear from where yours truly sits in this pic. A quick brush and the fabric ripples disappear

Fabric is great but the (my) bum dent on our mags soft is irretrievable. Four maybe five years in.

Sounds like you guys need to post your average weight along side ownership duration.

Got a Hay Mags, but only 4 months old. Do like it though.
Clearly the choice of top forum influencers.

Thanks for the info, appreciated. I'm quite a bit heavier than you , by almost 20kg. So id leave more of a dent ;). Yours looks good tbh (and the room looks great too)
-
• #1492
Heh, I'm fairly heavy as above, so a dent is probably inevitable no matter what the sofa
-
• #1493
Our mags is almost 3 years old and looks brand new, not the soft model, dip disappears after an hour or two of not sitting

Cheers all for the side table thoughts.
I like the Vitsoe 621 but think it is probably too modern in style.
I like the style of the Astro ones but Brighton is a bit far for me. Also I'm not sure how the teak G plan stuff would go with the palish floor. (Admittedly it is this kind of indecision that has left me with the temporary ones for 15 years.)

Something like Habitat Kilo? Not too modern, mid-century teaky, or spenny. Oak legs too.

• #1496
I like that but annoyingly they appear to have been discontinued.

Also have the same. Very solid. The cushions get ruined if you leave them out in the rain though.

Has anyone heard of FEST Amsterdam Sofa's? Just came across them and they look quite nice but not seen them in the flesh.

Anyone know a good source / suppliers for stuff like this?
Need some kind of alcove storage unit but it's not going to be built in. I would like it to be a little deeper than this example though. Strong prefs for it being on legs.
Alternative shout Vitsoe 621?
