  • My mate has just found a Bottega Veneta shacket and a Snow Peak cardigan thingy in a TK Maxx somewhere in London.

  • love a mole skin pad will have a look .ta

  • They currently have some nice Folk stuff, searchable on their website, at massive discounts. FYI their 'medium' is the Folk size 3. Any other recommendations for decent brands you can find in the Maxx? I've looked for Norse Project and Universal Works and they have some bits but not much. I have a voucher to spend and can't bring myself to perform 'the rummage'.

  • Folk is the one i find the most of the norse prjs stuff they had b4 xmas was good some v nice down jackets, they somtimes have penfield bits

  • Spotted a couple of sizes of Clarks Originals Desert boots & Wallabees in HSK last week or maybe the week before. According to others, they turn up in there quite a bit - maybe because of the Clarks store up the road. Bit bare in there otherwise when I looked.

  • I spotted Percival in my local one.

  • recommendations for decent brands

    There are very few brands that don't eventually find their way into TK, therein lies the joy of the search. Don't forget that online quite a few brands don't allow their name to show up UTSF so looking at newest in priced high to low usually gives a quick glance at the good stuff.

    My only advice is to be objective with the quality, regardless of the name on the label. IMO some of the Folk is off their main line but some is made to order and the fit/material just isn't up to scratch.

    Clothes wise I tend to keep my eyes out for Ralph Lauren, Trickers, made in England Loake, obscure brand Italian cashmere, Armor Lux, leather from Wrangler/Levi, Ray-Ban...

  • Thanks for this. I was struggling with what to get my sister in law for a birthday present and that's solved the conundrum 😃

  • Nice paper is nice! They had a couple of blank ones but mostly lined hardback.

    @goodhead Happy hunting.

  • Half price Toms and Acqua Di Parma in store…

  • Ha, just edited! The problem with being dyslexic is my spelling of names fails the autocorrect test.
