Gold with white pickguard and 3 singlecoils gets my vote...

Not sure if I love this or hate it, maybe it's the cream dogear that's putting me off. Gold just works on nearly everything.
It's sexy AF tho'.

I know what you mean - it's definitely striking but there's maybe too much flat gold, it needs more pickups / scratchplate on it.

It really reminds me of an SG Melody Maker I fell in love that was up on the wall at Macari's in the mid-80s. Someone had refin'd it in silver, it looked spectacular and was cheap as chips. But it was still too expensive for me!

The gold really sets off the shape of the horns, I think it's a great colour for an SG. That nitro crazing is also the sex.

This is a ‘77 Marshall Artiste 2040 that had been quite butchered inside and out. I’ve been playing it over the last few weeks and wondering what to do with it. A tech I know would be up for getting it back to stock inside, but it actually sounds pretty great as it is to my ears. I decided to rip the red tolex off. I think that is the easy bit compared to getting all the goo off and sanding. Luckily the cab is pretty decent underneath. I love the look of the finger joints across the ply.

Always loved those late 60s MMs that were Burgundy Mist faded to gold! There was a one on Denmark St in the early 90s that was heart-stopping. Like this, but better...

So nice. But all I really wanted was a Junior, they were a rare beast back in those days. Only Vintage & Rare ever had them in!

Future unfinished project alert!
Just found a huge slab of well seasoned ash for sale in a local vintage tool shop. Pefect thickness for a tele or three. I have no suitable tools, no space to work in and no experience. I'm almost definitley going to buy it.
Get your orders in now!

The old glue was not fun to take off (white spirit a sanding block and lots of elbow grease) but quite satisfying. I quite like the stripped look, and won’t be in a hurry to recover it so I think I’ll put some danish oil on it and put it back together for now.

Have people seen the Grampian 636 clone Behringer just announced? I'm not a fan of the company and usually avoid their stuff but this was too interesting to pass up - have pre-ordered one.

That sounds interesting, analogue or digital?
I've got an SG body with a snapped off neck I'm going to build a neck onto, possibly next. I'd had it in my head it was going to be gold, but now having seen these pictures I'm quite keen on a blue one...
