  • My joycons seem to be broken. Well to be exact only one of them and only a bit broken, but broken enough to make it annoying.

I don’t want to pay £60 for a new set of official nintendo ones. There seem to be 1000s of almost identical looking knock off ones on amazon and ebay. Has anyone bought any of these / can anyone point me to a pair that will do all the same things as the official ones and won’t break in a week?

  • I mean, none of them work exactly like the original joycons to my knowledge.
Perhaps you should look at CEX, as you can purchase a single replacement in a colour of your choice. Also a 24m warranty.

  • I just buy the parts and fix mine - had to do it for four! Annoying yes, and I've clumsily ripped the LED ribbon cable before.

    Joy-cons are not durable.

  • Joycon repair kit? I managed to fix one for my son and it has held up well for a year now. Not difficult just fiddly.

  • Joycons are surprisingly easy to fix - the joysticks can be purchased separately and its just a question of unscrewing and unplugging.

Although, if you're me, you'll also be cackhanded and need to resolder the bit you just snapped off.

[Edit] just realised this is 11 days ago...
