• I put a front rack on my fixie, is this a safe amount of threading to ride? sorry if dumb :)

  • Hmmm, depends. Some nuts the threading goes right to that face that sits against the dropouts, others there’s a gap of a good couple mm before the threading starts. If your nuts (ooh matron) are of the latter design it’s probably not great.

  • I would probably flip the nuts until it gets sorted (via one of the methods already suggested)

  • Did you file back the dropout so the rack tab sits flush or is there a spacer behind there to allow for a flat engagement. I went through this with a carbon fork and in the end resolved it by using PDW mudguard tabs secured to the rack stays that are very slim and sit flush into the dropout. Not as secure as the twin bolt fixing your tabs have but i've been fine with lighter loads. I'll get a pic if none of this is making sense.

    +1 for not fucking around though, i'd consider speaking to Martin/Arkane and seeing if he has any longer axles.
