They were really nice when I got an old rangey with finding parts and giving advice. Even though they were on another continent and knew they weren’t gonna make any money, just all round nice folk.
I’m hopefully getting historic plates this month

Anyone have a recommendation for a decent garage for a service Carshalton way? Brother owns a Piaggio Porter camper, and they have a tricky coolant swap process which is pretty vital to be followed otherwise they risk overheating. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

At least the stupid thing came out.

Cleaning the inside of the car really is shit isn't it.
Everytime I try and do it I realise I'd need a solid 8hr day to actually do it properly.
Carpet takes forever, but yet is still full of twigs and sand, and there are so many fucking nooks and crannies, that even the trim bits you clean well and spray with some fancy shit just highlight your failure to get a dedicated long haired toothbrush into the joins of said trim.

Actually only 2 of the 4 did…. So have a replacement on order - fingers crossed it fits and isn’t made of cheese.
I will not be refitting them though - will replace them with normal bolts -

We removed all the locking bolts on ours, too, for this reason.

It is when you've got kids, is my experience. When I used to only have adults in the car, oh boy was that easy looking back!

I used to use Banstead Road Garage when I lived in Wimbledon

Thanks mate, will pass on the details to my bro

That's probably true. The back of my mini probably had been used a handful of times. Whereas our Golf is brutalised daily. That alone cuts down on cleaning time.

C63 wagon w204 or Cayenne Turbo 957? My plan is to sell my A4 avant as it's TDI and not being used for what its best at (motorway) and run the C63 or Turbo for a year whilst I'm not doing many miles and to just have the V8 experience before I move over to electric at some point.
My uncle had a C63 wagon when I was living with him in Aus and have lusted after one for 10 years now. I also think the value will hold and I can re sell it for same or a small profit.
The Turbo appeals for pure functionality in the country side (dog walks, towing etc), will be hard to find a good one and the price is trending down.
Anyone have experience of either?

Awesome, looks great in that colour.

• #76994
No experience of either but I'd go for the C63. Great engine., and estates are better than SUVs. Always. It's also the more understated option - to the uninitiated it's just another Merc estate.

Probably not what you're thinking but these look so good with fat tyres and likely more comfortable than the low profiles...

Polestar 4 Fastest acceleration, lowest climate impact.
And hardest impact with pedestrians and cyclists.
Always.
