Another productive day with it today.
Popped down to a village five minutes away to pick up some free horse manure thinking I'd get a few bags.
Turns out the paddock in question has a manure heap bigger than my allotment plot and about a metre deep, according to the lady I met there she'd never known anyone take any away in the 10 years she's had horses there. It's fair to say that it's pretty well rotted.
I've been told I can take as much as I want so I'l be back later in the week for another load.
I also mentioned to a neighbour that I was going to try and get some wood chipping for the paths, turns out a local tree surgeon dumps lots there regularly and if there's any by the gate to help yourself. Turns out that six barrow loads doesn't appear to make any difference to the size of the heap!
