  • I think I'm sold on a Pelham Blue refin. Maybe with the addition of a little aged yellowing. I've spoken to someone about it, they can't do it until June/July, and it takes 3 months ish in total. They can also do ageing in light, medium and heavy.

    Gives me time to get the correct screws for the pickups, find an original trem arm and if possible some control knobs (or I'll just get some reliced ones from StewMac)

    Just need to save up now!

  • If you want it to age like an OG Pelham Blue you'll have to do your research. AFAIK it's the nitro that discolours creating the green colour but not sure if there's some other chemical interaction between the colour and the clear.

    It's gonna look fantastic, whatever you do to it. 🙏

  • Yeah totally agree with you. They can colour adjust their vintage paint range but it will also react and age naturally anyway. So it might be a fine line.
