Can't see any potential safety issues here. I'm in!

Might be a bit cold this weather!

Might be a bit cold
Ti is a rather poor thermal conductor (40-80 times worse than pure copper, depending on which Ti alloy)

Hmmm, good to know, but still not convinced!
If you left it outside a cafe in the sun on a hot day, how would it feel when you jumped back on?

Anyone dealt with Lightbicycle crash replacement?
Just found a crack in my Falcon WR45 rims (most peeved) and have sent a crash replacement request just one month inside the 3 year limit.

Yeah after a driver decided they wanted my lane. Was straightforward, wanted photos of damage and serial number

Thanks for the reply mate. How quick?
I know they take a wheel while coming from China. Don't even know exactly when this happened...I would assume pot hole.
Do we think any sort of insert would prevent this sort of thing happen? I know on fat MTB tyres theyre nigh on essential for my ample clumsy arse but on road tyres...?

End-to-end, I can't remember, but they raised the invoice the same day I asked

Probably not as hot as a black saddle.

I use inserts in gravel tyres, don't see why you couldn't in road (assuming they're tubeless). I just use 'backer rod' off eBay. Can probably get it in small enough diameter for road tyres.

I bought a couple used DT carbon wheels wheels for the road road bike that came with tyres and proper inserts in them, but....are they for rim protection or some sort of, 'getyahome' ability in the event of no sealing. Maybe a bit of both. I can of course google this.

I ride my gravel wheels pretty hard, sometimes with loads so I use inserts to avoid bottoming out but I guess they'd probably work as a get me home solution too. For the price and weight I don't see an reason not to. Allows for running much lower pressures without rolling tyres too. Can't speak for on road tho.

This is what I use

Works fine, price is right, think the only difference between it and proper inserts is that they have grooves for sealant maybe? Never had an issue.
Can't find paul light mount in my favorites anymore. Someone got a link ?
