Weasel words. Calling someone out for racism IS an attack! And it becomes a very vicious, upsetting attack when other lynch mob members instantly pile in, even though they haven't read the context or understood the issue. For lynch mob members, speed of attack is much more important than thinking it through or knowing what you're talking about.

There were a few comments and a request to edit, which was done. Now go away and think about your use of the term "lynch mob" whilst I notch up my hand wringing.
He has hardly attacked, just called out. OP was asking some advice about land laws etc. in relation to someone using the land, said person was identified as part of a local traveller community, this may or may not have been relevant, but either way there wasn't anything negative said about the guy and OP had mentioned talking with him seemingly amicably so no reason to think otherwise.
