Happy to amend my OP if anyone genuinely feels like I have shown prejudice/racism. I think the fact that I’ve been open in saying that he is a member of the travelling community and in my experience people within this community have an above average understanding and awareness of regulations around land possession and issues around this feels ok and is a key contributor to my concerns; I mean it kind of makes sense doesn’t it? Travellers and historically nomadic communities being more aware of one of the very pillars that their community is built upon? Wasn’t my intention to be prejudicial, isn’t in my eyes overtly or discreetly prejudicial but although I try and consider it, I can’t always be 100% aware of how everything I say might be received/interpreted. It’s also easy for people to try and find a stick to beat people even if there is no reason to and a very conscious choice is made to interpret something someone has written in a particular way because it suits, I don’t know, an agenda perhaps or just the way they’re feeling at the time (not snide or pointed , just a general point). Anyway, long and short, I’ll willingly (and without too much sulking) edit my post if anyone feels that it was (not very possibly could have been!!) prejudiced, bigoted or racist
